A New Beginning - Chapter 9

Sky was in one of Robotnik's base, fining information on Midnight. So far nothing. She sighs as she kept going, there had to be something on Midnight here

"Any luck" she heard Dash said so she looks back to see him with Chloe

"What are use doing here?" Sky asks as they walks over

"Here to help Aunty Sky" Chloe said and Sky sighs

"And no, there's nothing here" Sky told them "So far" she added

"There has to be something" Chloe said and Sky sighs

"I know Chloe" Sky whispers "Hold that thought" Sky said, thinking she found something. She then pulls up a list and looks at it shock

"He's experimenting on her" Chloe said

"He is and I got us a location" Sky said "Here"

"Mum" Chloe whispers

"We can't wait mum" Dash said

"No, we have to move, now" Sky told them

Midnight slowly wakes up and sighs as she saw she was still in the cylinder machine. She couldn't see Robotnik anywhere. She felt weak. She then realize she was only wearing her bra and underwear. She looked around one more time, then closes her eyes

"Midnight!" she heard Sky shout and banging. Midnight opens her eyes to see Sky with a worried look "Dash, open it" Sky shouts. The cylinder started going up and water gashes out. Sky pulled Midnight into her arms, taking the cords and air musk off

"Sky" Midnight whispers

"I'm here" Sky told her as she pulls her into a hug

"Can't, leave" Midnight whispers as Chloe and Dash walks over

"We have to move" Chloe said

"The remote" Sky said "Dash, are you strong enough to take both Midnight and Chloe back"

"No, I am not leaving you mum" Dash said

"I'll stay" Chloe said "Take my mum home"

"Fine and tell the others we will be back soon" Sky told him

"Ok" Dash said as walks over and grabs Midnight. Sky smiles at Midnight who closes her eyes. When she opens, she saw Manic who picks her up "We don't have long" Dash said

"Sonia, call the doctor" Manic shouts as he walks off. He then lies Midnight down on their bed

"Manic" Midnight whispers

"I'm here" Manic said "Rest, you need it" he told her and Midnight closes her eyes

'Where are you Sky?' Manic thought worried. Then Eli and Summer runs in and over

"Mum" Summer said as she crawls up

"Leave her to rest Summer" Manic told her and Summer nods

"But she'll be ok" Eli said

"She'll be fine" Manic told him and Eli looks at his mother worried

Sky is looking for Robotnik with Chloe close behind her. They came to a lab and Chloe runs off

"Chloe" Sky whispers as she chase after her. Chloe then grabs a remote and looks at Sky

"Could this be it?" Chloe asks

"I don't know" Sky said "Hide" she then said and the pair hid behind the workbench. Sky peeps back to see Robotnik who looked furious

"Where is the remote!?" Robotnik shouts "First losing Midnight and now the remote, I need better robots" he mumbled as he walks out. Sky got up and grabs Chloe. Then a sky blue light appeared and when it disappeared, they were home. Sonic walks over

"How did it go?" Sonic asks and Chloe shows him the remote

"Where's Midnight?" Sky asks

"Resting, the doctor is on his way" Sonic replies and Sky walks off to Midnight's room. She saw Manic was there and Manic smiles

"How is she?" Sky asks

"Weak" Manic replies

"Robotnik experimented on her, he had a long list on what he did" Sky told him

"He will pay" Manic said

"He will but we need to get this thing out of Midnight first" Sky told him and Manic nods

"I have things to do, can you sit with her" Manic asks

"Of course" Sky said and Manic kiss Midnight on the forehead, then walk out. Midnight moans as she opens her eyes and smiles at Sky "You should be sleeping" Sky told her

"I can't" Midnight whispers "You found me"

"Of course I did" Sky said. Midnight then sits up and Sky pulls her into a hug

"I need to get dress" Midnight whispers

"Of course" Sky said as she got up and helps Midnight up. Midnight then got dress and walks out with Sky

"Mum" Chloe said walking over and gives her a hug

"Chloe" Midnight whispers and Chloe lets her go

"Look" Chloe said, showing the remote

"You got it" Midnight whispers

"He won't hurt you again" Chloe told her

"We have a problem" Manic said walking over and Midnight looks at him to see him with a doctor

"The device cannot be removed" the doctor said

"So what, we leave it in her" Sonic said annoyed

"Can you, I don't know, destroy it, over charge it or something" Midnight asks

"We could use the defibrillator but you could die" the doctor told her

"I don't care, if Robotnik builds another control, I am as good as dead" Midnight told him and the doctor nod

"I'll get everything ready" the doctor said walking off and Midnight sighs

"Mum" Eli said worried

"I'll be fine" Midnight said as Manic walks up to her "Don't even try" Midnight told him and Manic sighs

"Come on" Sky said and the pair walks off. They found the doctor setting the defibrillator up, he was standing by the coffee table they have

"Sit down please" the doctor said. Midnight walks over and sits down. The doctor sighs as he grabs the defibrillator's pads "I need you to take you shirt off, so I can place these over the device" the doctor said

"Do you know where it is?" Sky asks as Midnight takes her shirt off

"Thanks to the notes use have, I do" the doctor said as he places the pads on. Midnight sighs as she lies down and the doctor turns the defibrillator on

"Look after Manic for me" Midnight whispers

"Ok, let's do this" the doctor said

"Ready" Midnight whispers. Sky watch as she gasp in pain and went limp. The doctor started CPR and Sky got worried. The doctor the grabs a needle and slams it into Midnight's chest who opens her eyes and gasp in pain

"Did it work?" Sky asks

"The remote" Midnight whispers and Sky runs off. Midnight sits up and the doctor takes the pads off "Thank you" Midnight said as she puts her shirt on

"You're welcome" the doctor said as Sky walks back with the others. Sky hit the button. Nothing happen. Midnight smiles as she lies down

"I must go" the doctor said

"Of course" Aleena said "I'll show you out" she then said and the pair walks off

"It's over" Midnight whispers as she closes her eyes and tries to sleep
